Things To Do

Mara Lake is surrounded by hills and  mountains and offers the best conditions for all water sports including wakeboarding  , waterskiing and tubing. It is known to have the cleanest water in all of the  Shuswap system of lakes which flow through to Osoyoos. If water sports are not  your thing, then you can take a hike on the numerous trails that are a stone  throw away. Try your skill level at Sicamous  Creek Trails, Simms Creek Loop Trail, Eagle River Nature Park, Malakwa  Suspension Bridge, and Gorge Creek Trail.   There is plenty to do all year round. Pro class golf courses, mountain biking,  snowboarding, skiing or snowmobiling. Take the kids to near by D Dutchman Dairy  for an ice cream and a free petting zoo. There is also fun for the whole family at  the magical setting of The Enchanted Forest or Step into a miniature world of  the Beardale Castle Miniature Land. Check out the links on our links page. There is plenty to do in the Shuswap Valley 12 months a year: besides  boasting some of the best boating and fishing waters in BC, the region features  first class golf, mountain biking, waterskiing, snowboarding, skiing and  snowmobiling.  You can bring your own boat or rent one from one of the  local vendors. There is over 1000 km of shore to explore. And the best boating  in Western Canada. There are nearby hiking trails for all skill levels  including Sicamous Creek Trails, Simms Creek Loop Trail, Eagle River Nature  Park, Malakwa Suspension Bridge, and Gorge Creek Trail.   Catch some rays on the beach or a few laps around the pool. Relax in the outdoor  hot tub or read a book with a beverage by the pool. Take a 5 minute boat ride  with your golf clubs directly across the lake to Hyde Mountain Golf course and  play 18 holes or grab a bite at the club house. There is loads of fun waiting  for you.
